Green-legged Partridge heard and Large Scimitar Babbler heard. According to the bird log, in the last week Slaty-legged Crake (twice) and Khalij Pheasant (daily).

At Mae Pen, 4 Silver-breasted Broadbill, 1 Sulphur-breasted Warbler, White-capped Redstart and 2 Slaty-backed Forktail. [According to the log book in Khun Daeng's a Purple Cochoa and White-rumped Falcon were recorded in early November along the Km 34.5 track.]

At Chiang Saen harrier roost a total of about 100 harriers with approximately 80 Pied Harrier and 20 Eastern Marsh Harrier. In the late afternoon, other species recorded included Striated Grassbird, Lesser Coucal, 1.000 Red-throated Pipit plus the usual suspects, including 25 Indian Spot-billed Duck. A probable Mugimaki Flycatcher unfortunately dissapeared before identification confirmed.

At Km 37 Track, several Large Niltava, 3 Clicking Shrike-babbler and the usual Slaty-bellied Tesia. At Km 34.5 Trail White-gorgeted Flycatcher, Claudia's Warbler, Long-tailed Broadbill, Mountain Scops Owl and a single Asian Emerald Cuckoo. Report from Mae Wong; pair of Rusty-naped Pitta close to Chong Yen - have been coming to worms for the last two months and gave amazing views. Also Rufous-throated Partridge a couple of times, both Speckled Piculet and White-browed Piculet, pair of Kalij Pheasant, Spot-necked Babbler and Coral-billed Scimitar Babbler. There is also a Leopard Cat coming to food put out by the rangers at Chong Yen each evening.

A count of 35 Nordmann's Greenshank at Laem Phak Bia saltpans, as well a Watercock in the mangrove research project. Other birders reporting 3 Spoon-billed Sandpiper at Pak Thale. A disspointing visit to Nong Pla Lai for eagles where only a single Greater Spotted Eagle in the afternoon. Others reported a single Steppe Eagle and an Imperial Eagle during the day. Also a Black-headed Ibis seen late afternoon.

A day on Doi Ang Khang produced Giant Nuthatch at the Km 20 camp site, where Spot-breasted Parrotbill had been recorded the previous day. Along the Arunothai Road was Ultramarine Flycatcher, Sapphire Flycatcher, Rufous-gorgeted Flycatcher, Daurian Redstart and Hodgson's Frogmouth. But no sign of Mrs. Hume's Pheasant. Rufous-bellied Niltava and Slaty-blue Flycatcher along Mae Phu Trail.

A trip up Doi Chiang Dao recorded the following at the upper campsite; Giant Nuthatch, Chestnut Bunting, Spot-winged Grosbeak, Slaty-backed Flycatcher and Buff-throated Warbler.

From Doi Inthanon - Dark-sided Thrush on view most of morning at Khun Daeng's. Along the km 13 road a couple of Blossom-headed Parakeet and Great Slaty Woodpecker. At the summit Eurasian Woodcock and Dark-sided Thrush. At the campsite Black-tailed Crake showing very well. Along the km 34 track a number of Black-throated Parrotbill.

Dark-sided Thrush and Eurasian Woodcock on summit broad walk of Doi Inthanon. Lesser Shortwing still present at Khun Daeng's. Other birders reported Grey-sided Thrush at summit. No sign of Blue-fronted Redstart at summit. Daurian Redstart a few kilometres below summit. A Burmese Shrike in grounds of Inthanon Highland Resort. Up to 11 Blossom-headed Parakeet at the Conservation Area outside the park.

Lesser Shortwing coming to feed at Khun Daeng's cafe on Doi Inthanon. Mountain Scops Owl along 34 km trail. According to the log book at Khun Daeng's a Blue-fronted Redstart in the car park at the summit.

A morning along the Mekong east of Chiang Saen found a few Black-faced Bunting, a Mallard and five Ruddy Shelduck.

A short, wet trip up Doi Chiang Dao recorded 20 Long-tailed Broadbill just below the DYK sub-station, plus Buff-breasted Warbler and Chinese Leaf Warbler at the camp site. No sign of any Giant Nuthatch, but weather poor.
